Annual Sponsorship
|
Each year we continue to work in partnership with organisations we support. We do this by financially sponsoring schemes of up to £1,000 that provide services to either adults or families living in their local community that would otherwise struggle for funding. What follows is a list of the different charities /schemes that we have sponsored over the years. 2008 – 2009 National Autistic Society - Asperger Syndrome Befriender Scheme , Maida Vale, West London This is the first scheme of its type run by the NAS specifically for young people with Asperger Syndrome (high functioning autism). The scheme has been set up in order to help young people with Asperger’s form friendships and learn about social skills, so that they can reach their full potential. 2007 -2008 Mind in Barnet – Advocacy scheme for people with mental health problems This is a scheme specifically for people who either have mental health needs or who are volunteering in order to gain experience to be able to work with vulnerable adults in a paid capacity. Our sponsorship enabled applicants to complete their year- long training. 2006- 2007 Ealing Consortium (Support for Living) Breakaway scheme for adults with learning disabilities The breakaway scheme is open to not only residents from Support for Living, but adults with learning disabilities that live in the London Borough of Ealing. Our sponsorship enabled several Saturday breakaway activities to go ahead. |
